There
are many exciting events that occur in Grant County throughout the year.
Below is a list of some of our major events. You may find some entry forms
below for events that are held throughout the year. For Timberfest-related
events, including the Timberfest Pageant that is held prior to Timberfest,

CHAMBER BANQUET
Held around the first of each year to recognize
teachers, business and outstanding volunteers of the year in the community.
The business and industries of the community have an opportunity to display
their products and merchandises to the rest of the community.

EASTER
EGG HUNT
Each year the Chamber sponsors an Easter Egg hunt that
brings hundreds of children participating in different age groups. Some
prize eggs have gifts and money from local businesses.
GRANT COUNTY
FAIR AND LIVESTOCK SHOW
The Grant
County Fair and Livestock show is sponsored by The Grant County Fair Board
in cooperation with the Cooperative Extension Office. Help the third
week in September each year the fair features a parade, carnival, exhibits
and an ARA-CRRA approved Rodeo. For more information call 870

GRANT COUNTY MUSEUM
Located just
off State Highway 46 South at 52 Shackleford Road in Sheridan, The Grant
County Museum/Heritage Square is one of the most interesting local history
museums in the region. The museum features an expanding collection of
restored buildings on the five acres with an 11,000 square foot exhibit and
administration building that exhibits artifacts relating to Grant County's
history. Special programs are featured throughout the year. For

CHRISTMAS ON THE SQUARE
The downtown area of Sheridan will be alive with twinkling lights and sounds
of the holidays during the 18th annual Christmas On The Square to be held on
Saturday, December 1, 2007 starting at 5:00 p.m. The community gathers to
enjoy the downtown decorations after the ceremonial lighting of the square.
Extended store hours, sales and refreshments offer the community an
opportunity to shop for Christmas. Click an event below for the

TIMBERFEST October 5 and 6, 2007
 The
Grant County Chamber of Commerce sponsors Timberfest the first weekend in
October, featuring the Arkansas State Lumberjack Championship, parade, arts
and crafts, amusements, antique car show, pageants and much more. The
event is help to raise money for scholarships and draw thousands of area
residents for events and activities scheduled over a three day period.
