The Grant County Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all our sponsors, contributors & volunteers for supporting our Fishing Derby, held on June 19th at the residence of Grant & Erica Westmoreland.

The Grant County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors along with other community volunteers make up the Timberfest Committee. The Timberfest Committee is responsible for planning, organizing and directing Timberfest. Timberfest is an annual festival which reflects on the impact that the Timber industry has on our community. Timberfest planning begins during January of each year and the Committee begins having monthly planning meetings in April of each year. During the planning stages, the committee discuss’ plans and confirms all activities, events, sponsorship and operations of each aspect of the festival. Timberfest is a festival filled with fun, food, games, activities and the Arkansas State Lumberjack Competition. Timberfest is held the first week-end of October annually on the Grant County Court Square. We invite everyone to come and join us for a week-end of family activities including a pageant, punt pass & kick, bow shoot, horseshoe tournament, arts & crafts & much more.
Annual Banquet
The Banquet is hosted annually in January by the Grant County Chamber of Commerce. All Chamber members, business owners, and community members are invited to attend. The "Okie T" volunteer Fireman of the Year, GHS Teacher of the Year, GCCC teacher of the year, Large and Small Business of the Year, Community Appreciation, Larry Freier Community Services Award, and the introduction of the new Grant County Chamber Board of Directors is announced at the banquet.

Easter Egg Hunt
Each Easter the Grant County Chamber of Commerce is able to sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt with the donations and support of our members and local businesses. Stop by the GCCC office for more information about this event or

Christmas on the Square
The downtown area of Sheridan will be alive with twinkling lights and sounds of the holidays during the 23nd annual Christmas Celebration. The Grant County Chamber of Commerce and Down Home Sheridan are joining forces for this event (2011 date to be determined). The community gathers to enjoy the downtown decorations after the ceremonial lighting of the square. Extended store hours, sales and refreshments offer the community an opportunity to shop for Christmas. Every chamber member’s listing will be included in our annual directory. This directory is distributed year-round to individuals and business interested in moving into the area.
In addition, the directory is mailed to every home in Grant County. Residents are encouraged to keep the directory handy and use it whenever they have the need for certain goods and services.
Let’s all Shop Grant County First! All chamber members will also have the opportunity to advertise their business in the directory.
